Hearts go green

On Green Britain Day, Heart FM and Real Radio listeners turned out in their thousands to do something green for the team, at specially organised summer fetes.

Up and down the country, people came along and started doing their bit to live greener lives. At Swap Shops, forgotten items were given a new lease of life by their new owners, bikes were inspected and made ready to ride, and there was a lot of recycling too, as newspapers got turned into hats, collages and other pieces of origami art. People also found out how and where to buy local produce, and got loads of advice on how they can start shrinking their carbon footprint.
