Delivering a low-carbon Britain

EDF Energy is the largest producer of low-carbon electricity in Britain, but our ambitions for helping you to cut CO2 emissions don’t stop there. We've installed thousands of smart meters across the UK as part of our ongoing trial of the technology, our Pod schools resource has already engaged over 2.5 million pupils with sustainability, and we are leading the way in offering low-carbon solutions to recharging the next generation of plug-in electric vehicles.

Gary Boyd, headmaster at Southwold Primary School, explains how EDF Energy and the Pod have helped to raise awareness and introduce energy-saving measures
